Another Way to enjoy yourself!
The Southern Uplands are ideal for biking - both on and off
the road! It's little wonder in fact that Kirkpatrick Macmillan
invented the bike here in 1838 in the village of Keir Mill
by Moniaive!
With nearly 500 miles of National Cycle Routes in Dumfries
and Galloway alone, the South of Scotland is fast becoming
the UK mecca for biking. Innerleithen boasts one of the best
downhill routes in Europe and is just one of the many developed
by the Seven Stanes Project providing dedicated biking areas
the breadth of the country.
